A few years ago, I started collecting records, I’m not sure exactly why I felt so compelled to do so. One thing led to another and I started DJing; I guess I just wanted my ever-growing collection of vinyl discs to start helping me pay the rent instead of collecting dust. I figured if I was going to give DJing a serious effort, I might as well go all-in and create an identity for my DJ persona.

Design Guidelines
Creating a brand or identity is more than just creating a cool logo, there needs to be a strategy guiding the idea forward.
As a DJ, your job is to play music best suited to the room. Since I only use vinyl, deciding which records to bring can certainly limit how well I may be able to do that. So I made a strategic decision to try and communicate what kind of records I will be bringing ahead of an event or playing for a recorded mix using some design guidelines.
